Happy 1st Birthday Charity!!!

The year has come and gone FAST! Charity turned one, can you believe it?! We still can't. Here are some pics and clips of her birthday party. She seemed to really enjoy her self, and got really good at opening presents (although she didn't really care for her presents being taken away just to open a new one :) ). Thank you to everyone who came, helped out, and or gave a gift. We're still trying to find a place to put all her new toys. Charity has lots of fun with them.

Before.
During.
After.
All of the kids seemed to have tons of fun playing. Charity's grandma made a big teepee to which was added a couple of tunnels and a tent. There were also balls and blocks, and all sorts of toys from her birthday that every kid (no matter what age) enjoyed.

Kody like to pretend that he was taking pictures of all the action too. He made his own camera out of foam blocks. Charity had lots of good helpers to help her gift unwrapping job easier.

Thanks for the ribbon, whoever sent it! Charity really enjoyed it. ;)

Miss Charity

Some people have been asking what to get Charity for her birthday so we thought we'd just list some suggestions here. The best thing to get would simply be money towards her college fund. Other than that she could use clothes (size 12+), shoes (size 3+), developmental toys, board books, and she likes stuffed animals too. Please avoid noisy and obnoxious toys (or we'll get 'em for your kids later).

Charity Meets Santa

Charity met Santa Claus for the first time. We were at a church Christmas party and they had a whole set up for Santa. The kids lined up and we tried to let her watch him a bit before hand, but he was hard to see behind some of the bigger kids.
At first she did fine and I got a picture, but before I could take another she looked up to the face of the person's lap she was sitting on and totally freaked out. I wish I could have gotten her scream on camera! We were really surprised by her reaction because she loved the people in costumes at Six Flags. Weird.

Below is Charity giving Santa a dirty look for scaring her.
She does not like Santa, but she does like Santa's Elf (which happens to be our neighbor).

Our Holiday Girl

Charity was born on Christmas Eve, she said her first word on the 4th of July, and now her first steps were taken on Thanksgiving. She also finally started saying "Mama" this week. Here's a couple of clips to show how proud we are of her.

Growing up Fast!

Charity sure is growing up fast. She's nearly 11 months old now. It's weird to think that we are already thinking towards her first birthday celebrations. She is such a fun and loving baby, it's no wonder the time has flown by so fast.

First Teeth

Charity first two teeth came through together yesterday (July 22nd). I'd love to post a picture, but there's no way Charity would ever sit still for it. These two teeth are as tiny and as crooked as can be (we better start the braces fund now, lol).

Finally, a picture is posted! Here Charity is visiting her Grandma McCain and showing those cute teeth in a big smile!

Caught on Video!

Here's a couple of videos of some of Charity's first. Don't mind the videography, some is pretty poor because we didn't want Charity to get distracted by the camera.

Daddy trying to teach Charity to sit up. He was successful, she started sitting up much better the next day.
First word! "Dada"

First Word!

Charity said her first word this weekend! The morning of the 4th of July I was trying to get her to say "Kitty" but instead she said "Dada". She said it again, which I got on video. She continued to say "Dada" throughout the whole day so everyone got to hear.

For the 4th of July celebrations, Charity enjoyed the parade, BBQ and family, but slept though the fireworks (despite the loudness).

Charity's Summer

At Charity's six month check up she measured at 26" tall and weighed 13 lbs 6 oz. She's healthy and happy! Charity is doing really well. She'll be crawling any day now and she loves to play.

Charity's first time swimming. She loved it! She wanted to stay all day and was the only baby who never cried. Total water baby!
Ooo, grass. Charity liked to twirl her fingers in the grass a bit. That is just before she pulled it out and tried to stick in in her mouth.
